About Outdoor Access Project
Our Mission
Outdoor Access Project is a Utah-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to making the outdoors accessible for everyone. Founded in 2025, the organization was created with a simple but powerful belief: adventure is a human right.
We create life-changing experiences for wheelchair users through adaptive adventures, inclusive events, and trail leadership programs. From reaching a mountain overlook to crossing a finish line — or simply laughing in the sunshine — we’re here to prove that freedom knows no limits.
Our community is built from adaptive athletes, volunteers, and supporters who believe that access creates confidence, connection, and healing.
How We Help
Adaptive Gear
We provide specialized outdoor equipment designed to handle uneven terrain, allowing participants to move confidently through trails, parks, and open spaces.
Trail & Trip Support
Our team plans accessible routes, manages logistics, and ensures each adventure is safe, inclusive, and empowering.
Volunteer-Powered Experiences
Trained volunteers work side-by-side with adaptive athletes, creating experiences built on trust, teamwork, and shared joy.
